Who we are

Blue River Medical, Inc. is an independent distributor of ophthalmic and optometric equipment serving eye care practices in Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, Wyoming, and Utah. This policy covers the website at www.bluerivermedical.com. It does not cover the websites of the manufacturers we represent, which have their own privacy policies.

Information we collect

We only collect information you choose to give us. This website has no user accounts, no logins, and no payment processing. Specifically:

• Information you submit in a form. Our contact, quote, and used-equipment request forms ask for your name, practice or company name, email address, phone number, preferred contact method, and your role. Depending on the form, we may also collect the equipment you are interested in, condition preference, budget range, purchase timeline, practice location, whether you have a trade-in, and any message or notes you write.
• The page you submitted from. We record the page URL and title of the form you used, so we know which product or service you were asking about.
• Website analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used in aggregate — pages viewed, general location, device and browser type, and how visitors arrived. Google sets cookies to do this.

We do not knowingly collect protected health information (PHI) through this website, and our forms should not be used to send patient information. Please do not include patient names, medical record numbers, or clinical details in a form message.

How we use it

We use the information you submit to:

• Respond to your question, quote request, or demo request
• Prepare pricing, availability, and equipment recommendations for you
• Schedule service, installation, or training
• Follow up about a request you already started with us

We do not sell your information. We do not rent or trade contact lists. We do not use your form submission for advertising targeting.

Who we share it with

We share information only where it is needed to run the business or respond to you:

• Service providers. Form submissions are stored in our database hosted by Supabase and are delivered to us by email through Resend. This site is hosted by Vercel. Analytics are processed by Google. These providers process data on our behalf.
• Manufacturers we represent. If you ask for a demo, quote, warranty support, or service on a specific product, we may pass your name, practice, and contact details to that manufacturer so they can fulfill the request. We do this to answer your inquiry, not for their marketing.
• Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.

How long we keep it

We retain form submissions for as long as we have an active or prospective business relationship with you, and afterward as needed for our business records, warranty and service history, and legal obligations. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.

Your choices

• Access, correction, or deletion. Email info@bluerivermedical.com and we will look up what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it.
• Stop hearing from us. Reply to any email from us asking to be removed, or call us, and we will stop contacting you.
• Analytics and cookies. You can block cookies in your browser settings or use the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The site works without analytics cookies.

Security

Traffic to this site is encrypted in transit with HTTPS. Form submissions are stored in an access-controlled database, and only Blue River Medical staff who need it can view submissions. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

This is a business-to-business website intended for eye care professionals. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and change the "last updated" date above.
