Three product families, one manufacturer
Visionix covers a wider span of the practice than most single manufacturers we represent. Optovue is the clinical OCT brand. Visionix badges the refraction, lens analysis, and multimodal screening instruments. For a practice planning several purchases over a couple of years, that consolidation is often worth discussing on its own.

Optovue SOLIX, SOLIX Essential, and the iSeries platforms for structural and angiographic imaging.
Refraction and lens analysis
VX 40 lens analysis plus VX 65 and Eye Refract for the refraction lane.
Multimodal screening
VX 650 and VX 120+ Dry Eye for consolidated anterior and posterior measurement.
Optovue OCT and OCT-A
SOLIX is Optovue's flagship platform and a strong option for practices evaluating replacement of an older OCT. It comes in two configurations, compared below. The iSeries platforms further down run at 80 kHz and suit practices with different imaging needs or a smaller footprint.

FullRange spectral domain OCT running at 120 kHz with AngioVue OCT angiography, an integrated fundus camera, and external IR imaging. The FullRange scan range is what makes the long 16 x 6.25 mm posterior and 18 x 6.25 mm anterior scans possible on one instrument.

Which SOLIX fits your practice?
Both models run the same engine and the same software. The choice comes down to scan range and what else the instrument does besides OCT, not to whether you can image the anterior segment.

The fully featured platform, with FullRange scan range and the multimodal additions.

- 120 kHz spectral domain, 5 micron axial and 15 micron transverse, AngioVue OCT-A.
- Scan range
- FullRange. 16 x 6.25 mm posterior and 18 x 6.25 mm anterior in a single acquisition.
- Beyond OCT
- Integrated fundus photography, external IR imaging, and the wider option set including the topography module.

Optovue SOLIX Essential
The same engine and software in a narrower configuration.
- Engine
- 120 kHz spectral domain, 5 micron axial and 15 micron transverse, AngioVue OCT-A. Identical to SOLIX.
- Scan range
- The standard SOLIX scan range, without FullRange imaging.
- Beyond OCT
- No fundus camera or IR imaging. Corneal mapping, pachymetry and angle measurement are still included.
Optovue iSeries OCT platforms
All three run at 80 kHz and include the iWellness examination protocol. They differ mainly in what is bundled alongside the OCT.

Refraction and lens analysis
Four instruments across the same workflow: analyzing what a lens is doing, verifying a finished job against the prescription, running the refraction, and getting to a comfortable prescription faster. The VX 40 and VX 40 Pro are related but answer different questions.
