Optovue iFusion 80

The iVue 80 OCT combined with the 12 megapixel iCam 12 fundus camera in one space-saving imaging system.

Overview

The iFusion 80 answers a simple space problem: OCT and fundus photography in one footprint. It pairs the full iVue 80 OCT toolset, retina, optic disc, and cornea, with the iCam 12, a 12 megapixel non-mydriatic camera capturing 45 degree color and red-free images with automatic image sharpening. OCT scans overlay directly onto the fundus photos, and external color photography documents the ocular surface, so one instrument covers structural scanning, photo documentation, and anterior imaging.

One instrument, two exams

The practical case for the iFusion 80 is workflow: the patient sits once, and the practice gets both the OCT scan set and the fundus photograph, with the OCT overlay tying the two together. For offices billing fundus photography and OCT on different visits or lanes today, that consolidation is usually the deciding factor.

Who this is a good fit for

If none of these describe your practice, it is probably not the right instrument, and we will tell you that.

Practices that want OCT and fundus photography without two devices

Space-constrained pretest rooms

Clinics documenting findings with photos alongside structural scans

What to ask on a demo

A demo is worth more when you arrive with your own cases and a list of questions. Here is what we would raise.

  • Capture a fundus photo and OCT on the same volunteer and review the overlay
  • Compare the 45 degree photo field against your current camera
  • Measure the footprint against the two instruments it would replace
