Overview
Eye Refract combines a digital phoropter with a dual Hartmann-Shack sensor to measure objective refraction on both eyes simultaneously, with a semi-open-field view and fogging applied during the objective measurement. Visionix describes it as offering physiological refraction, aimed at arriving at the most comfortable prescription rather than only the sharpest one. The Quick Pro algorithm drives the process after the physiological refraction step.

Why binocular and semi-open-field
Measuring each eye separately in a closed field encourages accommodation and removes the binocular context the patient actually lives in. Eye Refract measures both eyes at the same time with a semi-open-field view and applies fogging during the objective step, which is the design response to both problems. Whether the resulting prescription differs meaningfully in your hands is exactly the thing to test on a demo with your own patients.
Where it sits against the VX 65
These solve different problems. VX 65 is a digital refraction system replacing the manual phoropter and connecting the lane to your EMR. Eye Refract adds simultaneous binocular objective measurement with wavefront sensing built into the same unit. Some practices run one, some evaluate both.
