Overview
The VX 650 is positioned by Visionix as a multimodal anterior and posterior screener. It puts a wavefront aberrometer, a fundus camera, and a set of anterior segment measurements into one instrument, which is what makes it interesting for a pre-test lane that is short on both space and staff time. It is a screening and measurement platform: it produces images and quantitative data for the doctor to interpret, not a diagnosis.

What it replaces on the bench
The usual reason a practice looks at the VX 650 is consolidation. Topography, aberrometry, pachymetry, non-contact tonometry, retroillumination, anterior chamber analysis and a fundus image are otherwise spread across several instruments and several handoffs. Putting them in one station changes how the pre-test lane is staffed and how long a workup takes. Worth mapping against the instruments you already own before you decide.

Visionix positions the VX 650 as a screener across the anterior and posterior segment. The imaging and measurements support your clinical decision making and flag eyes that need a closer look. They do not replace your examination or make a diagnosis, and we will not describe them that way.
