Envi S2-TC Tilt Chair
The tilt model of the S2 chair series: powered height adjustment with manual tilt, membrane controls with auto return, and a 500 lb lifting capacity.
Overview
The S2-TC is the tilt chair in Envi's S2 series. Height is powered and the tilt is manual, which is the combination practices choose when they want the patient positioned back for a procedure or a dilated exam without paying for a full powered recline. Membrane controls drive the chair with an auto return that brings it back to the seated position in one press, and the chair rotates 180 degrees so a single lane can serve an instrument stand on either side. The adjustable headrest and folding footrest are standard, and the chair is rated to a 500 lb lifting capacity. Current dimensional specifications come with your quote from the S2 brochure.

Where the S2-TC sits in the S2 line
The S2 series splits on how the patient goes back. The S2-AR reclines under power and suits lanes that reposition patients all day. The S2-TC tilts by hand, which is enough for most dilated exams and keeps the cost down. The S2-MC is the manual-recline workhorse and the S2-MPC is the compact procedure chair. All four share the control philosophy, the wheelchair accessible layout, and the two year warranty.
Who this is a good fit for
If none of these describe your practice, it is probably not the right choice, and we will tell you that.
Lanes that tilt patients back regularly but do not need powered recline
Practices standardizing on the S2 platform at a lower price point than the S2-AR
Rooms where the stand may sit on either side of the chair
What to ask on a demo
A demo is worth more when you arrive with your own cases and a list of questions. Here is what we would raise.
- Tilt the chair by hand with a staff member seated and judge the effort
- Press auto return and time how fast the chair resets between patients
- Compare against the S2-AR if your lane reclines patients all day
- Request the current S2 brochure for dimensions
