Reichert

LensChek Pro

Digital lensometer with automatic reading lock-in, plus built-in PD measurement and UV transmittance analysis.

Overview

LensChek Pro reads lens power the moment the target aligns with the optical center, locking the measurement automatically, which Reichert describes as fast, repeatable and reliable. The Pro model adds two measurements the standard LensChek Plus does not have: pupillary distance from 45 to 85 mm, and UV transmittance from 0 to 100 percent, measured at 375 nm. It is part of the VisionChek Digital Exam Suite alongside SightChek and OptoChek Plus.

What to ask on a demo

A demo is worth more when you arrive with your own cases and a list of questions. Here is what we would raise.

  • Have a non-optician staff member neutralize a progressive
  • Compare Pro and Plus models; the difference is PD and UV measurement
  • Ask how readings transfer to your EMR or phoropter
