Visual Field and Perimetry Systems

Visual field testing is how functional vision loss gets found and followed, and the instruments differ far more than their bowls-and-buttons ancestors did. We carry three distinct approaches: fundus-guided standard perimetry, macular microperimetry, and headset-based portable perimetry.

How the options differ

The iCare COMPASS runs standard 24-2, 30-2, and 10-2 fields with a real-time retinal tracker that repositions stimuli during the test, compensating for eye movement rather than only monitoring fixation. The iCare MAIA is a microperimeter: point-by-point macular sensitivity and fixation analysis for macular disease rather than glaucoma fields. The M&S Smart System VR Headset trades the dark room for a headset that tests fields, contrast, color, and stereo anywhere, in full room lighting. Glaucoma follow-up, macular function, and space-flexible testing are three different jobs; pick by the job.
